One of the biggest elements of SABRE is our commitment to give back to our local community.
We believe that small businesses are in a unique position to be able to create real change in their cities and in the world.
SABRE highlights two charities a year – The Southern Arizona Community Food Bank and the Arizona Make a Wish Foundation.
Each charity receives a monetary donations as well as volunteer days throughout the year. As a group we strive to be “go-givers” not only with our financial resources, but also with our time.
Southern Arizona Community Food Bank
We have been blessed to be able to assist such a selfless organization here locally in Tucson. For every dollar SABRE has raised and donated to the Community Food Bank it distributes 4 meals to a family in need.
Since SABRE has partnered with the community food bank we have raised enough money for over 8,000 meals.
Southern Arizona Community Food Bank isn’t just an organization who helps distribute food locally in Tucson, they are an advocate for Food for Kids, teaching healthy eating and promoting awareness to our youth in Tucson through what they are nourishing their bodies with.
With their “Farm to Child” (link) program they are helping improve children’s access to healthy food in school and the preschool/childcare environment. They use their expertise in growing food to help parents and teacher learn to garden.

We continue to strive to learn more about how we can help in our community and the Southern Arizona Food Bank is one of the most valuable steps we can take.
Make a Wish
Through the Make a Wish Arizona organization we have impacted children’s lives daily by helping make “wishes come true.”
In our SABRE community we are infused with wish granters, Ambassador Board Members, and an extremely dedicated representative from Make a Wish. Our goal is to impact children’s lives in a way most wouldn’t think imaginable.
Through Make a Wish and SABRE we have been fortunate enough to participate in the Walk for Wishes Program. This program is a fundraising opportunity to help drive awareness as well as Team Funds to raise money for the Make a Wish foundation. Funds are also raised through our weekly meetings to support the organization.

The key to being a SABRE member is developing business relationships as well as nourishing our community around us and we thank you for helping us raise awareness.
Another part of connecting and giving back are SABRE Socials! These once a month events are a way for business owners to connect and also to raise money for a different local charity each month, such as Dancing In The Streets AZ and the Blair Charity Group. The socials are $10 and open to everyone. Every penny goes back to the spotlight charity of the month, so come meet some new people and have a good time for a good cause!
